This Month - October 2025 Nations-in-focus: Nigeria, Cameroon, and Congo 🇳🇬 Nigeria Continent: Africa (West Africa) Population (2026 Est.): ~242.4 million Main Religion: Roughly divided between Islam (predominantly in the North) and Christianity (predominantly in the South), with a minority practicing traditional indigenous beliefs. Status of Evangelism: Significantly reached, but with a "high-pressure" environment. While it has one of the largest Christian populations in the world, the North remains a frontier for evangelism, and the country faces a high persecution rank (Ranked #7 globally by Open Doors). People Cluster: Extremely diverse with over 500 ethnic groups. Major clusters include the Hausa-Fulani, Yoruba, and Igbo. Political & Economic Crises: Persistent security threats from non-state armed groups (Boko Haram/ISWAP) in the Northeast and banditry in the Northwest. Economically, the country faces high inflation, debt servicing challenges, and a "cost of living" crisis. Current Environmental Crises: Severe seasonal flooding (particularly in the Niger Delta and North), desertification encroaching from the Sahara, and significant pollution issues in oil-producing regions. 🇨🇲 Cameroon Continent: Africa (Central/West Africa) Population (2026 Est.): ~30.6 million Main Religion: Predominantly Christianity (mostly Roman Catholic and Protestant), with a significant Muslim minority (about 20-30%) concentrated in the North. The southern regions have a deep Christian history, while the "Far North" is considered more of a mission frontier due to Islamic influence and security instability. Status of Evangelism: Significantly reached in terms of profession, but often categorized as "Superficially Reached" in specific remote regions due to the need for deeper discipleship and the presence of syncretic traditional practices. People Cluster: Over 200 ethnic groups, primarily Bantu (including Luba, Kongo, and Mongo) and Azande. Political & Economic Crises: Intense and escalating conflict in the Eastern DRC involving the M23 rebel group and other militias. EGC Fundraising Target ENGAGING THE TRUTH TEAM MINISTRY GOSPEL CONFERENCE The ETT Gospel Conference is more than just another event; it's a multi-day ignition point for people of all ages, especially young people. The event was launched in 2022 by Engaging the Truth Team Ministry (ETT) with the first of its kind in Ilobu, Osun State, Nigeria. This dynamic event offers a powerful blend of inspirational experiences; evening crusades featuring uplifting worship and transformative messages set the stage for spiritual growth. Dedicated prayer sessions and opportunities for spiritual warfare equip attendees for a deeper connection with God, while altar calls provide a space for individuals to commit their lives to Christ or deepen their existing faith. The EGC's impact extends beyond the evenings. Through community and street evangelism , the conference actively shares the Gospel message, fostering a spirit of service and empowering volunteers to become agents of positive change. THE GOSPEL WITH AN ARM OF LOVE As part of our mandate, we take an arm of love with us for each edition of the ETT Gospel Conference. Our act of love at the moment is to provide free medical care to attendees of the Conference. Our method is to use the day for those interested in free medical care, while the evenings are for the gospel crusades. We plan to scale this up to provide other reliefs like free foodstuff, clothing items, books for children in school, and even give free medication based on diagnostics. VERITAS SCHOLAR CERTIFICATE PROGRAM (VSCP) The Veritas Scholar Certificate Programme (VSCP) is ESCA’s highest and most academically rigorous training in Christian apologetics, designed for advanced students, teachers, and ministry leaders. The programme emphasizes in-depth research, critical engagement with apologetic literature, and scholarly analysis of theology, philosophy, and Scripture. Through a guided Research Seminar, advanced elective courses such as In-Depth to Paul’s Writings (IPW 300) and Theological Apologetics (TAC 302), VSCP equips students to engage contemporary intellectual challenges to Christianity with academic depth, theological precision, and spiritual discernment. Can anyone enroll in any of the programs? Effective from 1st May 2026, the ETT School of Christian Apologetics (ESCA) operates a Prerequisite-Based Progression Model. This means that students are required to complete each programme before advancing to the next level. Programme Progression Structure Lamplighter Certificate Programme (LCP) → Prerequisite for the Defenders Certificate Programme (DCP) Defenders Certificate Programme (DCP) → Prerequisite for the Veritas Scholar Certificate Programme (VSCP) What This Means The LCP remains the foundational entry point and is open to all. Students must successfully complete the LCP before enrolling in the DCP. Students must successfully complete the DCP before progressing to the VSCP. This structure ensures a progressive, well-grounded learning journey, equipping students with the necessary biblical, philosophical, and apologetic foundations at each level. How are the online classes conducted? Students will have access two platforms; 1. The Telegram group of their Certificate program where they will receive live weekly classes. 2. The Google Classroom where our videos are hosted. Do I need any prior knowledge or experience? ESCA welcomes students from all backgrounds to its Lamplighter Certificate Program (LCP), but the Defenders Certificate Program (DCP) and the Veritas Scholar Certificate Program (VSCP) require prior knowledge, as stated above. What is the duration of the programs? ESCA Academic Year shall be divided into Three (3) Streams A. Stream 1 : January - March. Where the first month, January, is to be used for marketing and enrollment. Enrollment shall be closed toward the end of the marketing month. This means lectures will commence officially from February. B. Stream 2: May - July. Where the first month, May, is to be used for marketing and enrollment. Enrollment shall be closed toward the end of the marketing month. This means lectures will commence officially from June. C. Stream 3: September - November. In the nearest future, we hope to include a physical graduation ceremony to hold once in an academic year at the Ministry's Annual Classical Music Convention (ACMC) which comes physically, every November.
